The Michigan Baseball Club was founded in 2011 and is open to boys ages 9-12. The league focuses on teaching the game of baseball which allows for individual development and an understanding of the game. We are a kid pitch league which operates it games based on real baseball rules but takes into consideration the age and skill set of the players. The goal is to have fun while offering a competitive environment. We encourage kids to play as many different positions as they feel comfortable with. Again, the goal is to have fun while learning baseball. Our league starts with 4 practices beginning the week of July 23, 2012 and our 14 game season begins August 6, 2012 and runs through September 28, 2012. You can register as a team, partial team, or as an individual. Teams have a maximum of 12 players and there are 4 teams per division.
Mission Statement: To offer a fun, competitive, and organized kid pitch baseball league for boys ages 9-12.

Meet the commissioner:
My name is Tony Shkreli, I'm an avid sports fan and I grew up playing little league baseball in Sterling Heights. I'm a former student at the University of Michigan, I studied sports psychology and business. The past couple of years I have been very involved in many different baseball leagues. I currently coach the 11 year old Cardinals in the Sterling Heights Baseball Club, I've also coached teams at Jason Thompson Baseball and Oakland Yard. I've been an assistant coach for coach pitch teams at RARA (Rochester Recreation League), and a base coach for Troy Parks and Recreation teams. I started the Michigan Baseball Club to give kids the opportunity to play organized baseball for a longer period of time during our great weather months of July, August, and September. My goal is to build the league so that it is recognized as fun, competitive, and organized.
